The 60-Day Protocol · Track B

You're not stuck.
You're successfully
moving toward
the wrong future.

And you did it to yourself — through ignorant neglect, carrying sad, tired baggage when you could've been travelling first-class. But here's the good news: there's a junction ahead.

60
seconds daily for 60 days.
That's one hour of your life over two months. What do you have to lose?
The Spell Running Your Life

There's a voice in your head
telling you things.

Not out loud. Not dramatic. Just constant, quiet commentary. And it sounds exactly like you.

The voice — verbatim "This is just how it is." "You're too old to change." "Good outcomes aren't for people like you." "Be realistic." "You know how this ends."

It feels like reality. Like maturity. Like someone who's learned from experience.

It's not. It's the Skin — the protective interface that formed when you were young and has been running your life on autopilot ever since.

And here's the spell it casts: "You've arrived. This is it. This is your reality." Not "this is where you're headed." Not "this is the trajectory if nothing changes." But: you've arrived. This is who you are. There's nowhere else to go.

How the Skin Removes Time

It doesn't say you're ageing.
It says you're OLD.

What Skin says Permanent · Arrived · Finished "You're OLD" "You're FAT" "You're ANXIOUS" "You're STUCK" "You're BROKEN"
What's actually true Transient · In flux · Moving "You're ageing" (still movable) "You're gaining weight" (trajectory) "You're experiencing dread" (temporary) "You're feeling stuck" (condition) "Your body hurts today" (will shift)

Present tense. Permanent. Arrived. No trajectory. No movement. No time. Just: this is it. This is you. This is reality.

What's Actually Happening

You're on a moving train.
Track A.
You didn't choose it.

You got on it when you were young, absorbing what your parents considered safe, what your culture called success, what your peer group found acceptable, what your fear projected as "at least not that."

You've been riding this track for decades. The scenery outside the window has been gradually heavier body, increasing limitation, deepening dread, narrowing possibilities, and the quiet certainty that "this is just how life is."

That's not who you are. That's what Track A delivers.

The actual definition of reality

Reality = a transient condition. A state in flux.

Your 5 senses report the current condition — not the permanent state. Because there is no permanent state.

Reality is not fixed. Not who you are. Not a destination. Not inevitable.

Reality IS: a temporary snapshot. Current condition on a moving trajectory. In flux. Responsive to direction change.

Switch direction → condition shifts → 5 senses report different results. Same person. Different track.

The Junction Ahead

The Scales of Justice.
And why the feather wins.

There's a junction coming up. Two tracks diverge.

Right now — the scales
Track A
5kg
Track B
feather

Decades of reinforcement vs. a brand new direction. The scales look impossible. They're not.

Skin points at this and says: "See? Track A is reality. The feather can't possibly outweigh 5kg." But here's what Skin doesn't understand: the junction responds to weight automatically. Not through effort. Through accumulation.

Every time you return to your conscious baseline, the feather gains weight. Track B side gets heavier. Track A side gets lighter as you stop feeding it. Eventually, the junction switches — automatically. Not through willpower. Through repetition.

The Critical Insight Nobody Explains

Your system reboots overnight.

Every night when you sleep, consciousness goes offline. Memory consolidates. The body repairs. And when you wake up, the system defaults to whatever baseline has the most reinforcement.

For most people, that's Track A. Decades of weight on that side. This is why "motivation fades." This is why goals set Monday morning are just memories by Tuesday. The system rebooted overnight and defaulted to the accidental baseline.

The 60-second morning return fixes this. Before anything else — before Skin starts narrating, before phone, before coffee — you reconnect with the conscious baseline. Not reviewing an idea. Activating an operating system.

Without morning reset Wake up on Track A (accidental) Skin has default authority Decisions flow from accident Day runs on autopilot "Where did my clarity go?" Requires willpower to function
With morning reset Wake up, reconnect (60 seconds) Conscious baseline activated Direction has authority Decisions align naturally "It just flowed." No willpower battle

60 seconds. Every morning.
Before the default kicks in.

The Practice — Non-Negotiable

Here's the exact protocol.

The 60-second morning return

Every morning. Before anything else.

01 Close your eyes.
02 Return to your somatic anchor — a moment when your body felt capable, without the chaos that surrounded it.
03 Feel for the somatic response — usually solar plexus, chest, gut. The body's recognition.
04 Hold for 60 seconds.
05 Open eyes. Proceed.

Not meditation. Not visualisation. Not affirmations. Just reconnecting with the conscious baseline you chose — before Skin takes default authority.

For the 30+ Reader

Your music library is a
somatic anchor portal.

Music doesn't remind you who you were — it briefly reinstates that version of you. When you hear the song that was your song at 25, something happens in your body. Not nostalgia. Actual somatic reinstatement.

Your body drops into the zeitgeist of that era. You're not thinking about being 25. You are 25. For those 3 minutes. That's your somatic anchor. The music did the extraction work for you.

Instead of mentally reconstructing "hiking at 45," just play your song every morning. 60 seconds. Eyes closed. Let the music drop you into the state. No effort. No trying to remember. Automatic somatic reinstatement.

The trap — Days 8 to 21

Around Week 2, you'll open your eyes after your 60-second return and see: the scales still massively imbalanced. Your body still looks the same. Nothing visible has changed.

And Skin will say: "See? This isn't working. Nothing's changed. The feather can't beat 5kg. Go back to Track A. At least that's familiar."

That's the moment 80% of people quit. Right before the scales would have tipped. The weight IS accumulating — 10g here, 50g there. The tip is sudden. The accumulation is gradual. Don't be that person.

The Choice

Stop pretending you
don't have one.

1

Stay on Track A.

Close this page. Let Skin narrate it away as "interesting but not for me." Keep carrying the sad baggage. Keep moving toward the future you already know is waiting.

2

Switch tracks.

Go to burningdownthehouse.co.uk. Download the free book. Build your conscious baseline. Return to it for 60 seconds daily. Track the data. See what happens. Better scenery. Lighter baggage. Different trajectory.

The train is moving.
The junction is ahead.
